Training

We run weekly sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We will also occasionally run weekend sessions (confirmed during the week). Normally we meet in Sandyford, however the starting location may vary.

On Tuesdays you have a choice of a distance runs depending on your fitness, with runs ranging from approximately 3 to 8 miles.

On a Thursday we will perform one of the following speed sessions (varied from week to week)

  • Short hill sprints
  • Interval training
  • Long hill repeats
  • Bridge sprints
  • Hill loops
  • Fartlek training
  • Pursuits

The weekend sessions will usually be longer distance runs.

The training schedule is now available. All sessions will be confirmed via the weekly email and are subject to change.

Please ensure you do a thorough warm up prior to the sessions, we will do a group warm do afterwards.
